HUNTING PROBLEMS
Mood: don't ask Hey guys, Just wanted to bring this up since some guys are having problems out at the lease. Within the last 2 weeks, someone has cut our locks off the bottom gate limiting access to the lease. I as well as everyone else on the lease have paid good money to hunt here and I can say that we all take care of OUR property. I want to reiterate to all that if you find anyone hunting, fishing or out scouting our property, CALL THE POLICE OR GAME WARDEN. The Game Wardens name is Gary HOBBS and his cell number is (817) 343-9118. The Jack County Sheriff's Office number is (940) 567-2161. It has been also brought up by a couple of guys on the lease that there are unknown individuals hunting other peoples stands. If you come across someone hunting your stand not from our lease CALL THE GAME WARDEN OR LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT. If you are hunting someone elses stand, please give them a courtesy call and let them know and ask permission. I think we generally don't have a problem letting others hunt, but would like to know about it. We almost had a bad situation the other day. We need to respect each others hunting and fishing rights. During the initial weeks of deer season, lets all park in a open general area and walk to our stands. That way we don't bust up other peoples hunts. The game warden stated that the only way we are going to keep unauthorized people out is to close the front gate. Let's all try and practice that. The duck hunters on the lease have agreed to hold off duck hunting for the first few weeks to ensure that everyone has a crack at the deer. We will post when we are going out the day before and make sure that we don't hurt anyone's deer hunting. I will be posting everyone's cell number to make sure that we stay in contact with one another. Last thing we want is to get upset at another person on the lease for something that could have been avoided. Everyone have a great hunting season and lets all keep an eye out and respect each others hunts. Thanks, Dan
